ICC SYDNEY, DARLING HARBOUR

Australia’s Best Bathroom 2019 has now launched!

Do you have a dream dunny? It’s time to shine for the often overlooked public bathroom as entries are now open for the eagerly anticipated 2019 Best Bathroom Competition, in partnership with INCLEAN Magazine.

Public conveniences at airports, schools, RSLs, hotels and environment agencies have all been finalists in the Best Bathroom Competition over previous years and last year’s winner, Merrylands RSL Club in Sydney, set the bar high with its seven luxurious, private female cubicles with individual basins, stylish accessories and inlay metallic bronze feature tiles. The judges were also particularly impressed with how the Merrylands RSL incorporated the community’s needs into the design process.

“The aim of the competition is not only to advocate washroom well-being, but also to encourage awareness of some of the best bathrooms in Australia among facilities and workplace management professionals,” says Andrew Lawson, Total Facilities event manager. “We’ve had such a variety of entries, from high-end luxury to a remote area, waterless pod-designed toilet, we can’t wait to see what’s in store this year.”

Is your porcelain palace a winner?

To enter your bathroom located in an Australian public or private building, you must be a professional working within the facilities function at your workplace and be able to provide photographic evidence of your bathroom.

Bathroom entries will be judged on design, innovation, aesthetics and products and services that improve well-being for everyone.

Enter here by simply writing in 50 words or less why your bathroom is the best Australia has to offer. Entries are now open until Friday 1st March 2019 and will be judged by a panel based on eligibility, style, comments and cooperation with the process.

The winner will be announced here on the website and our Total Facilities Twitter page on Tuesday 12th March 2019 and will take home the coveted title of ‘Australia’s Best Bathroom’. Finalists will be invited to attend the event where their nomination will be on display in a designated feature display at the show.
