Jon Dee

Jon Dee is an award-winning social entrepreneur, broadcaster and campaigner.

As a broadcaster, Jon wrote and hosted 115 episodes of the Sky News 'Smart Money’ business sustainability programme. His business guidebooks on sustainability and energy have shifted 140,000 copies.

As a philanthropist, Jon was the main founder of the Planet Ark, DoSomething and Rock Aid Armenia charities. He’s the Australian Coordinator for the RE100 renewable energy initiative, where 111 major companies in Australia are going 100% renewable with their electricity use. As part of the RE100 project, Jon has recruited Australian companies with a market cap of $650 Billion.

Together with Olivia Newton-John, Jon also co-founded Australia's National Tree Day and the international 'One Tree Per Child' initiative. When Jon and Olivia fronted Tree Day, it planted 10 million trees. He is also the global head of One Tree Per Child.

Jon initiated the campaigns to ban incandescent globes and to eliminate phosphates in laundry detergents and plastic microbeads in beauty products. Jon has received two major awards. He is a former ‘Australian of the Year’ in NSW and he was also awarded Armenia’s highest medal - ‘the Order of Honour’.
