Catherine Caruana-McManus is a global leader in smart cities, the Internet of Things and digital transformation and a pioneer of public access IoT networks and data sharing models for government, industry and communities.
Catherine is an owner and Director of Meshed IoT, founder of the global community of Giant Ideas for Smart Cities and co-Founder of the IoT Alliance Australia. Catherine holds a number of awards including the IoT Ambassador Award for Australia and Smart Cities Industry Leader by the Smart Cities Council.
Prior to Meshed, Catherine was the KPMG Director for IoT for Cities and Utilities, Director of IBM’s Smarter Cities and has held other Executive positions for PMP Limited, Telstra and MC2 Consulting.
Catherine is on the Board of the IoT Alliance Australia, a member of the Advisory Council for UoW SMART Infrastructure Facility, a founding member of Open Cities for Next Generation Utilities and a member of the global Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
Catherine holds university qualifications in urban planning, economics, management and applied finance and has dual citizenship with the UK and Australia.
