International supply chain issues have affected Australian industries during the pandemic. A halt to immigration due to COVID has resulted in labour shortages in the construction industry. Stimulus measures such as HomeBuilder and large infrastructure projects have exacerbated these issues. While we have seen some major construction companies going into administration recently, can these be said to result from skills and materials shortages? We discuss these and related issues.
