Makita leading the way in electrical cleaning solutions

Makita proudly leads the way in cordless product solutions across a range of categories including Commercial Cleaning, Building, Construction & Commercial Power Garden.

For over 100 years Makita has designed and manufactured some of the most efficient electrical motors, designed for specific applications in a wide range of tools. Now with continued advancement in Lithium-Ion battery technology, they are pushing the barriers beyond what was once thought to only be possible with 240V electric or petrol driven products.

The company recently launched their first XGT 40V Max Brushless Wet/Dry Vacuum, which delivers suction that rivals 240V vacuums. Offering a massive 23kPa of max sealed suction and 46L/s max airflow, the days of winding up power cords and shifting between outlets are well and truly over. One of the main challenges for consumers to overcome when moving away from traditional electric or petrol products is maintaining the performance of the product. Where previously there has been limitations in cordless performance, continued improvement in both battery performance and electric motor design has seen Makita close the gap.

Later in 2022, Makita will be launching their new LXT 18Vx2 Robotic Vacuum which will be equipped with mapping and scheduling capabilities to deliver optimum performance and efficiency. Providing a set and forget option, the DRC300 will allow consumers to undertake alternate tasks while vacuuming is completed, improving efficiency of their work and providing a better result for their clients.

These new products will complement the existing 18V LXT & 40V Max XGT products to continue to move consumers to a fully cordless site. New and innovative products are paramount to success, and the newest additions will provide new opportunities and increased performance and productivity for consumers. Makita’s 18V LXT and 40V Max XGT products are backed by a 5 year limited warranty so consumers can be confident that in the unlikely event there is a fault in manufacture or material, that it will be repaired under warranty so they can get back to work quickly, without a hassle.

Makita has always had a strong relationship with its customers and the easing of travel restrictions will allow the company to renew their focus on new product development. Being able to safely identify, understand and evaluate customers’ problems & inefficiencies on site, will allow the team to develop the best cordless solutions for them.

Makita is excited to commence construction of a new Distribution Centre, Service Centre & Training facility in Truganina, Victoria with the goal of being operational in early 2023. This will complement their existing Sydney, Hobart, and Perth distribution centres by providing more immediate service and support to Victoria and South Australia. As there has been increased demand and challenges placed on the national freight network, there is an opportunity to improve delivery to customers by not relying on longer freight routes from Sydney to service Victoria and South Australia.

As the Total Facilities and DesignBUILD Official App Sponsor, Makita is excited for the times ahead and think Total Facilities Expo 2022 will be another great opportunity to show off their impressive new product range, create new relationships and engage with their existing dealer network and customer base.
